This movie incorporated a haunting mixture of entrancing sentiment and eerie brutality that succeeded in flirting with numerous emotions within me. It is just impossible not to be moved by this superbly acted drama! I have added this movie to my favorite's list.

The Flowers of War, what else can i say about this film that has not yet been praised by its adoring fans. Who other than Christian Bale can seamlessly play the role of a self-centered, shallow, and unapologetic jerk as well Christian can. However this is what makes the plot so engulfing, witnessing a man as such undergo a transformation from the aforementioned to that of a being so in love with a woman he has so briefly known is utterly amazing. As if this was not enough the story also focuses on a lively group of selfish, self preserving Geisha whom eventually make incredible sacrifices for those in such a need. To be honest I was thinking about this film for over a week, the emotional toll it took on me was greater than any before. Please do not miss this movie, it is truly one of the rare gems of our time.

One of the best movies ever...
Definitely watch it!
Quite emotional & engaging... the truth about the horrors of wars and good people caught up in them... and also how ordinary people will turn from their self centered ways and become self sacrificing heroes and saviors for people they never knew or ever cared about before.
Read through the comments to find the link with English subtitles... it helps.

Just went on an intense journey with this one - funny courageous sexy horrifying..credible film for both male and female. I would love it if everyone gave this one a shot. Enjoy

This movie just holds on to my emotions and don't let go until the end. And even then my emotions are still stirring I feel sad, hurt, happy and overwhelmed by how much this movie and the acting took a hold of me the whole time. This movie is in a category by itself. You will get into your FEELINGS with this movie. 10/10!

This movie will tear bits of your soul apart time and again throughout the movie. At the end, it will politely offer it back but making certain its essence is permanently etched in your mind. It's what great movies are made of and this one is not to be missed.
