it was really good..actually my first time that i watch a musical.. and not bad..a bit to long for my taste but it c kept me sitting there with out getting me up for a while ... i like it over all..must watch..only worth watching it once ...8/10

Honestly, I don't especially care for it.
The jump cuts were disorientating, there is no sense of time passing.
Some scenes are brilliantly executed, but others are sloppy and hurried.
In the end, it felt kind of erratic.

I got to admit I wasnt impressed by the first 30 minutes or so..ve for Anne Hathaways I Dreamed a Dream performance. I felt the first 30 minutes of so pretty much were unbelievable and gave you the whole story up front and thus made it feel as though the storyline was sloppy. However the rest of the movie put the pieces together and by the end I was in tears. I walked away from this with a new outlook on redemption and the concept of god. Really great movie and worth the watch. 5/5

Superb star casting and acting and that's where I have to say it ends. Having read the novel and seen the Broadway adaptation and the earlier versions, this one is way over rated and for a musical, the singing is not great.

watched it as soon as it came out and it's unbelievably good! loved Hugh jackman. It's deffo worth a watch !! Loved the "look down, look down" song.. amazing!!!!

I can't believe it took me this long to watch this movie. it's fantastic. Although I'm a fan of musicals, I don't normally like it when most of the dialogue is sung

Saw this at the cinema. I wouldn't watch it on here. It needs to be seen on the big screen to capture all the emotion, sound effects etc. truly brilliant 10/10..however, if you're not into musicals and singing.is is not for you haha

It made me cry but I can't say that I enjoyed watching a movie in which every word was sung. Though the plot was quite gripping, predictable but gripping

I have put this movie off for some time now. I finally decided to watch it after seeing all the commercials for the dvd. I am now knocking myself on the head for not watching this sooner!! A wonderful musical. Full of drama, romance, and action in my opinion. Five stars on the cast, costume, and makeup. FIVE STARS

A STANDING APPLAUSE ! A TRUE 'MASTERPIECE' BY TOM HOOPER - HATS-OFF TO THE ENTIRE SINGLE SOUL INVOLVED IN CREATION OF THIS SET-UP, IN SUCH A FAB MUSICAL DRAMA/SCREENPLAY PRESENTED IN THE LONGEST! I did not know what I was embarking on, when I clicked on the 'play' button.... But I am glad that I did. I give this a 100/10 !

Amazing performances from the leading actors and somehow musicals like this bring in another layer of emotion to the story telling. What if you have received a gift that is so meaningful it meant changing your whole life, that's why this is a good movie, Grace is for free ****

The movie was awesome. Didn't know Hugh Jackman could sing so good! It's telling the story of Victor Hugo splendidly. The emotions brought into it were thrilling.

I was in the mood for a musical, and this was just perfect. I loved how they depicted 19th century France, it was very accurate, at least from my readings on the subject. The use of darkness in the film was amazing, accenting the general sentiments of the citizens of the time, and the characters in the film. I hadn't read Les Miserable all the way through in nearly thirteen years, and while there were a few changes made, it they were not badly done. I enjoyed seeing how the producers stayed mostly true to the original storyline. With the addition of it becoming a musical; well, it just put this movie over the top, and I loved it all the more for it. 9/10 for me.
