grown ups is a movie about 5 friends did not see each other in 30 years but destiny puts adam sandler , chris rock , kevin james , rob shneider , david spade the biggest adventure of the summer ... it was so great and funny i couldnt stop laughing while watching it , its another n#;1 hit movie

Though it boasts as impressive a comedic cast as one can easily recall, Grown Ups, for the most part, comes off as a pervasively inconsequential piece of work that seems to exist solely because Adam Sandler wanted to spend some time with his friends. The movie follows Sandler's Lenny Feder as he and his adolescent buddies (Kevin James' Eric, Chris Rock's Kurt, David Spade's Marcus, and Rob Schneider's Rob) reunite at a cabin in the woods following the death of their beloved coach (Blake Clark's Buzzer), with the bulk of the narrative subsequently devoted to the central characters' fun-loving shenanigans in the days leading up to July 4th (ie they hit a waterpark, they play basketball, etc, etc). Grown Ups' unabashedly freewheeling atmosphere is initially not quite as problematic as one might've feared, as the charisma of the various performers goes a long way towards establishing an ambiance of lightheartedness that's impossible to resist (for a little while, anyway). And although the affable vibe does compensate for the curious lack of laughs, there inevitably reaches a point at which the viewer begins to crave something (anything) of substance in terms of plot (ie the experience of watching the film is increasingly akin to the experience of watching somebody else's home videos). The aggressively uneventful bent of Sandler and Fred Wolf's screenplay ensures that the movie becomes a progressively interminable experience as it unfolds, with the frustratingly overlong running time - this thing should've topped out at 75 minutes, max - cementing Grown Up's place as an especially egregious example of a needless vanity project.

Remember your childhood friends and adventures, this movie might help you remember a thing or two. You might want to watch if you have kids too. All star comedic cast and great story line...what else can you ask for? You'll laugh, reminisce, and did i mention laugh?

a slight charm and some mildly funny moments, the film excels only at not being hate-able. most of the comedic timing was off and the screen play was extremely weak. many would say "what did you expect?" i am one of the few cinephiles that really enjoys sandler, so i expected to laugh more than i did.

Grown Ups is the story of a school basketball team that wins(WHICH IS THE FIRST TIME FOR THERE COACH)and celebrates. Then 30 or so years later they are reuniting for there coaches funeral. We see that they resemble themselves 30 years ago and act the same way. Hilarity Ensues. Yes im aware that is a horrible description but this movie doesnt really have a plot its just the Happy Madison team pulling one liners and gags that fall flat. The film is slightly enjoyable but really has no redeeming qualities. You will forget the gags which will make you forget this movie. Which is not too bad of a thing

I hated this movie. Expected so much more with a cast like this. It bored me and didn't make me laugh once. Would have had a better time smearing my face with jam and letting a swarm of angry bees lick it off. I want my hour and a half back!

Great film, very humorous but this is down to the cast that are in the film. Great choice of actors for a film like this. Family comedy and fun for the whole family as young and old would be able to laugh at this film. Recommend! 4/5

Considering the cast, I started watching this with high expectations of it being stupidly funny but all in all, it was a total let down. It's ok to watch to pass the time or for a one time watch, but wouldn't watch it again.
