Wow! Type about taking me back to the hood, this is one gully film!! Don Cheadle, Ethan Hawke, Wesley Snipes and Richard Gere were all on point with this one. They had to be, their filming in Van Dyke Houses in lovely Brooklyn, surrounded by the testy indiginous population. Some of the guys used in filming were definitely recruited from the locals, and the story was very authentic. The dark side of human nature never goes out of style, and when presented so beautifully and realistically on screen, it just makes for true movie magic. Kudos to this film!

I was born and raised in Brooklyn, in this movie they only show it from a cops point of view. It gets a lot worst. lol But it was a very good movie I'd give it a 4.5/5

Definitely a character drama rather than an action film you might expect it to be. Think of a slightly less educated version of The Departed mixed with a slightly less action filled Street Kings. Would recommend as a time filler, but little else. 6/10

I liked it, its no L.Anfidential but its a good gritty film. Its not slow paced its called Drama and it often takes time to build up the story. I liked the film but liked the build up also. I found myself getting more and more into the film by the time the end came. If your looking for fast paced films why not watch Shrek or The Neverending Story. This is a crime drama and although it says action, it doesnt mean arnold schwarzenegger blow everything up.

I absolutely, unequivocally, adamantly hated the ending. Having said that I also liked the ending. How can it be both you ask? I hated it because it didn't end the way I wanted it to. I liked it because it didn't end the way I wanted it to. Does this mean I am schizophrenic? Eh, I've been called worse. Anyway, pretty good film. It was urban, gritty and probably as close as you'll get to the war between cops and dealers. Good cinematography. I also liked the anticipatory moments in the film. It dragged just a bit but I chock that up to story telling. 3.5/5 The .5 is for Don Cheadle

I saw this in theaters hoping that I would at least be entertained but came out disappointed. The story is fine but a slow pace and a lack of suspense, thrills, intensity, action I don't know what, made this movie all hype and nothing else. I do enjoy movies where the cast members and there different perspectives and stories cross paths but that wasn't enough to make this movie anything worth raving about. 6.5/10

I highly recommend this film to everyone. Starring a great cast and and emotional and gripping story that keeps you on the edge of your seat until the very end. I give this movie a 5/5.

ok, so the acting is pretty good and has a decent cast that all fit in nicely to the film & plot, The film gets to a "wall" where any aditional minutes to the film dont really add anything to the plot or film depth, it would be harsh to give the film a slating but a little more editing in the right places would have given it the edge that it is sadly missing. All in all its worth a watch, probably not the sort of thing you'd go out and buy but its free and a couple of hours entertainment.

As the summary says.ree unconnected Brooklyn cops wind up at the same deadly location after enduring vastly different career paths. keep this in mind as you watch. as it is a tangled plot, good actors, pretty good cops and gangster movie.

Good acting and a terrific cast but a very slow and ponderous movie with an unsatisfactory ending. The kind of film where you think 'this is gonna spring to life in a minute' and carry on thinking it until suddenly it is over and you are left disappointed.

Thought this one was a good movie, got off to a bit of a slow start though. Ending was disappointing, I expected a better turn out for Cheadle's character at least. Rate it 4/5 stars.
