leave to hollywood to destroy a good old fasioned horror/slasher and turn into straight garbage watched half an hour and turned it off it was pointless

Saw in theaters. they had the actors, they had the look, but the writers totally killed it someone needed to write a better script and better death scenes come Freddy is waaaaaay more creative than that! *SPOILER* None of the original deaths, not even close except for the distant cousin of Tina's death from the original who's character is now named Kris. she didn't even get spun up the walls and on the ceiling like the original what happened to that rig? no "you're gonna need a mop" for Quentiney do show Kris in the body bag in the hallway for two secs

The 2010 Remake of A nightmare on elm street left me with mixed emotions as they did a good job with the story i thought as they made it similar enough but also changed it enough so you dont feel like your watching the same movie twice. With that being said i did not like the idea of freddy being a child molester as it was an idea that they had for the original and wes craven said it would of been the worst thing he could of done and i agree. Freddys new makeover was ok but just didnt have the pizazz as Robert England, Even the new more serious less comedy version wasnt as scary as the original freddy. I really like all these remakes of they Classic vilians but wish that these new screen writers and directors would use there creativity and make there own movies. Overall i gave A nightmare on elm street 3/5 stars... and still a must watch.

this movie could've been so much more... i don't get it, the do the saw and hostel movies the way they do but can't show a fountin of blood brusting out of a girl? that's pretty much the death blow for this movie. other mistakes could've been forgiven, but not this one... this is exactly the reason why classics should remain untouched. just imagine what'll happen if some1 will try to remake evil dead...

Gosh people, have you all never seen a real burn victim, they did a great job on Freddy, he was the whole film basically, even the Kid from The Sarah Connor Chronicles who plays John, just isn't Johnny Depp yet. And I'm gonna play the spoiler this time around, sorry. The big difference between this and the orginal was the director, not experienced enough? The original was designed to be a builder of suspense, with many little Freddy Freaky moments, this movie didn't get any of right. It has no suspense, and every time they had a chance just to add to his power in it all, they pass it up many times besides original scenes, and it's not as good overall as the original as a result.

this movie was terrible..e original was much better and the effects were not that good either. if they make another one they should hire someone that can write a screenplay with some much better ideas then this. it would of been better if robert englund was in it or even made a cameo.

Sorry, I know I'm giving this such a low rating, but I'm just being honest, when I saw this movie I didn't even bother watching it straight to the end, I'm tired of seeing remakes of films that are completely crap, when the originals are so much better, it just completely ruins the movie and the reputation that it has built up over the years. This movie really was a let down, and probably a bigger let down to all the Freddy fans.

After witnessing the gruesome death of high school student Dean (Kellan Lutz), Kris(Katie Cassidy)followed by her ex boyfriend Jessey, is Plagued by horrific nightmares of a burned scarred man with knives for fingers named Freddy. And he gets enjoyment out of terrorizing them. Freddy, fueled by the memories of his victims, leads Nancy and Quentin(Kyle Gallner) to a place from their past. Fighting to stay awake, they try to puzzle together the pieces of who Freddy Kruger is, and why he wants kill them.. So that they can put an end to him once and for all.

Very good much better In my opinion than the old one most remakes are not that good but this one is! but it could have been better. The story line has become very over done. Too many people remake movies! But I would definitely tell all of my friends to watch this movie!

well I am a freddy fan from way back this guy is not even close if you want to be scared out of your wits watch the real deal I could not finish this move west craven rocks a nightmare not this new junk. this doe's not even come close

Bardzo fajna mieszanka poprzednich 7 czesci.. mozna ogladnac, ale ja jestem wierna Frediemu ktorego gral Robert England. Wes Craven stworzyl swietne czesci. I like this movie 7 in 1 .. nice ;)

We already saw this decades ago and nothing seems new or exciting about this. They keep remaking old **** and it's pretty dull. SAW and Hostel brought a new face to horror and these stupid remakes don't do any justice to the originals.
